Instituted by Luo Jye, the Yuanlin, Taiwan based tyre maker is the ninth largest tyre manufacturer in the world. Established in Taiwan in the year 1967, Maxxis TYRE  is a subsidiary of Cheng Shin Rubber Industry Company. Internationally, the company manufactures tyres for nearly every niche. However, in India besides other segments it has a strong presence in the passenger car and SUV tyre market.

Maxxis is present in 6 continents, owns 21 manufacturing facilities, and operates 5 Research & Development (R&D) centres across the globe. Worldwide, Maxxis holds a vast customer base and caters to more than 180 countries. Its Indian subsidiary, Maxxis Rubber India Pvt. Ltd., was founded in the year 2015. After initiating its India operations Maxxis commenced its first manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat in 2018. The 106 acre production facility possesses the production capacity of 20,000 tyres and 40,000 tubes each day.
